Unified Competition in the South will be debated this Friday, 3

-

“We will discuss this topic at this Friday’s meeting of the Gaucho Federal Bench so that the Gauchos affected by the floods are not, additionally, harmed by the impossibility of participating in the contest.”

The parliamentarian criticized the Federal Government’s decision to maintain the tests of the Unified National Competition.

“This ad doesn’t have the slightest respect or empathy for our situation!” said Van Hattem.

According to a report released by the government of Rio Grande do Sul this Friday morning, the 3rd, the number of deaths rose to 32 and 74 people are missing due to the storms that hit the state of Rio Grande do Sul.

Federal deputy Fernanda Melchionna sent a letter to the Ministry of Management and Innovation (MGI) regarding the situation.

Folha Managed by Qconcursos had access to the document. The parliamentarian asks the department to take the necessary measures to guarantee the safety of candidates registered at the CNU who will take the tests in the State of Rio Grande do Sul.

In a note released last Tuesday night, the 2nd, the MGI informed that it will make efforts and will be in dialogue with the competent authorities.

“The Federal Government will make every effort to guarantee, in Rio Grande do Sul, the participation of candidates, in dialogue with the competent federal, state and municipal authorities. Any updates will be informed through the Ministry’s official channels”, said the published statement.

The measures that will be taken have not yet been listed by the MGI.

It is worth remembering that the governor of Rio Grande do Sul suggested the possibility of postponing the CNU tests. The head of the Gaucho executive stated that the state was “unviable” after the heavy rains that continue to hit the region.

With the governor’s statement, the MGI published on its channels that the organization of the Unified National Competition was “monitoring the situation in Rio Grande do Sul with a team on site and in dialogue with local authorities”.

However, after meetings, the department opted for the decision to maintain the tests throughout the country, including in Rio Grande do Sul.

Government recognizes ‘risks’, foresees processes and announcement of CNU 2025

The Ministry of Management and Innovation (MGI) and members of the Federal Government were in a meeting throughout Thursday, the 2nd, to decide on the maintenance or postponement of the Unified Competition tests.

According to CNN’s investigation, the government recognizes that there is a ‘risk of judicialization’, especially for candidates who are unhappy with the decision to keep the evidence.

According to the report, initially, MGI’s desire was to cancel the application of the tests. However, it was advised that, legally, any decision to be taken would bring many challenges in court – given that the notice does not provide for the application of two tests.

Therefore, the option to maintain the exam was to guarantee the participation of the largest number of people.

The information is that the Minister of Management and Innovation, Esther Dwecki, will be meeting this Friday, the 3rd, with the security teams. The objective will be to detail the priorities and points for carrying out the tests in Rio Grande do Sul.

As compensatory measures for candidates from Rio Grande do Sul, the MGI would be evaluating some measures, according to CNN, such as facilitating reimbursement and announcing the 2nd edition of the Unified National Competition.

During the “Good morning, Minister” program held this Friday, 3rd, the chief minister of the Social Communication Secretariat, Paulo Pimenta, made a statement and said that the number of candidates affected in Rio Grande do Sul is small compared to the more than 2 million subscribers.

Candidates voted to postpone the tests

Although the government opted to keep the tests on the scheduled date, the candidates’ opinion was against it.

In a poll carried out by Folha Directed by Qconcursos, the majority chose the postponement.

There were more than 1,600 votes and almost 78% of the candidates wanted a postponement for everyone.

It is important to point out that Governor Eduardo Leite has already declared a state of public calamity in the State of Rio Grande do Sul for a period of 180 days.

Many roads were blocked, schools were damaged and classes were suspended, and there were municipalities with water, electricity and telephone supply problems.

In total, Rio Grande do Sul has 80,348 registered for the Unified National Competition. The state has ten cities where the tests can be administered, namely:

  • Bagé;
  • Caxias do Sul;
  • Farroupilha;
  • Deep step;
  • Pellets;
  • Porto Alegre;
  • Santa Cruz do Sul;
  • Santa Maria;

Unified Competition provides for refund of the fee. Understand!

The Unified Competition notice foresees situations like the current one in Rio Grande do Sul.

According to what appears in item 11.16 of the opening notice, “the candidate affected by logistical problems, during the application of the Unified National Public Competition tests, may request a refund of the amount paid as registration fee within five working days after the day of application of the tests”.

Item 11.16.1 of the document says that “logistical problems are considered, for the purposes of refunding the amount paid as registration fees, supervening, peculiar, eventual or force majeure factors, such as: natural disasters (which harm the application of the CPNU due to the compromise of the local infrastructure) , lack of electricity (which compromises the visibility of the test due to the absence of natural light) that causes proven, unpredictable and insurmountable harm to the candidate”.

Therefore, with the government’s decision to maintain the tests on May 5th, candidates who are unable to access their test locations or who withdraw from the application due to the situation in the state must have the possibility of refunding the registration fee.

Return policies will be announced at a later date.
