On Wednesday, the 1st, the Colombian JLGC was arrested in Senador Guiomard, in Acre, by the Special Border Group (Gefron) and the Military Police. He was being transported in a taxi that was heading from Brasiléia to the capital, Rio Branco. During the approach, the foreigner gave nervous answers to the questions asked by the police, raising suspicions about his activities.

During a search of his luggage, police found four cardboard tubes containing crafts. When they punctured the tubes, a strong odor characteristic of marijuana was smelled by the police officers. As a result, the Colombian admitted that he was transporting four kilos of Moroccan hashish, with an estimated value of R$280,000. He stated that he intended to deliver the drugs to the city of Porto Velho, capital of the state of Rondônia.

The Colombian was arrested in the act and taken to the Federal Police. The operation that resulted in his capture is part of Operation Protector of Borders and Divides, which aims to combat cross-border crimes in border regions.
