Espírito Santo will receive 7 of the 500 new Basic Health Units (UBS) that are part of the Federal Government’s New PAC Health. The information was confirmed by the Ministry of Health, which published last Wednesday (24) an ordinance that allocates more than R$23.5 million for the construction of seven health units in the State.
Six municipalities in Espírito Santo will receive the new health units: Cariacica, Governador Lindenberg, Mimoso do Sul, Pancas, Santa Leopoldina and Serra.
“This New PAC Health ordinance is another important moment in the resumption of family health. It represents more health centers with more Family Health teams, which is where SUS reception takes place most across the country. It also represents this large investment that is being made by the federal government to provide greater access to the population, with qualified care and structured UBS for the care of people and for the good work of health professionals”, stated Minister Nísia Trindade.
The ministry’s expectation is that the commitment of resources will be ready by June 30, and that the first transfers will be made in 2024.
