According to Monalisa, she and Nina first crossed paths with one of the pitbulls.
“Nina is very friendly with dogs, so I let her. But the pitbull grabbed Nina’s paw and started pulling. When I tried to separate, we fell, and he attacked more. Soon after, one more appeared, and then another”, he described.
A neighbor’s boyfriend heard Monalisa’s cries for help and managed to get the dogs away.
Police officers were called and were at the house identified by neighbors as being the owner of the dogs. There, Monalisa was harassed, and no one was arrested.
Since the attack on Nina, the dogs were never seen again. They used to be loose in the courtyard of the house and always had a bad smell. “The pitbulls lived in a place that did not have favorable conditions and were not fed properly,” she said.

Also according to Monalisa, the wounds resulting from the pitbull bites became infected, which has even affected the dog’s sleep. Veterinary costs have already exceeded R$4 thousand.
