Entrepreneurs from the West discover opportunities to promote innovation

The dissemination of opportunities for micro, small and medium-sized entrepreneurs in Santa Catarina to invest in innovation continues to be carried out by the Santa Catarina State Research and Innovation Support Foundation (Fapesc), through the Tecnova Circuit. This Thursday, the 25th, the notice for the Tecnova 3 Program, which will grant more than R$30 million in resources for innovation projects, was presented to entrepreneurs in the West.

The Tecnova Circuit was part of the Finep Day program, which brought together approximately 200 entrepreneurs at the Pollen Scientific and Technological Park, in Chapecó. Tecnova is an innovation support program promoted by the Financier of Studies and Projects (Finep) throughout Brazil. In Santa Catarina, Fapesc is responsible for its execution. The resources to promote the projects come from the State Government and Finep. Those interested in submitting proposals in notice 11/2024 can do so through the SIGFapesc system until May 27, 2024.

According to Bruno Camargo, Finep’s Southern Regional Manager, the event had an audience interested in learning about the support opportunities offered by Finep, whether in public notices or financing, including the Tecnova 3 Program. “It was a very successful event. In addition to the participation of Finep partners, we provide services to companies. We are sure that after this event we will have several projects, including Tecnova 3. The Oeste ecosystem is very strong and we want to be able to support it more and more”.

Fapesc Project Coordinator and responsible for notice 11/2024, Mariana Mezzaroba, states that the Tecnova Circuit is an opportunity to provide important information to entrepreneurs, answer questions and encourage the preparation of proposals to participate in the selection of projects carried out by Tecnova 3. “We had a very productive day, with a good and very interactive audience, who knew how to use the opportunity to answer questions about how to access the Tecnova 3 Program and other Fapesc notices”.

The event also had the participation of the substitute manager of Finep Regional Sul, João Florencio Silva.

Tecnova Circuit

This week, the Tecnova Circuit passed through Lages and Chapecó. Next time, it will be in Florianópolis, and Itajaí in person, and in Rio do Sul, online. With entrepreneurs from Rio do Sul, the meeting will be on Monday, 29th, at 2 pm. With those from Florianópolis, on Thursday, 2nd, at 2pm, in the Esag/Udesc auditorium. In Itajaí, it will take place on Friday, 3rd, at 10 am, at the Elume Regional Innovation Center.

The Tecnova Circuit began on April 5th and has already visited several municipalities in Santa Catarina, dialoguing with entrepreneurs from Luzerna, Herval D’Oeste, Joaçaba, Caçador, Videira, Joinville, Brusque, Jaraguá do Sul, Blumenau, Criciúma, Lages and Chapecó.

Tecnova 3 Program

The public call is open for the participation of companies that earned from zero to R$16 million in 2023. In Tecnova 3, Santa Catarina, alongside Paraná, has the largest budget in Brazil for the program (each with an economic subsidy of R$ 30,120,000.00). The value of this edition is greater than the sum of the two previous editions in Santa Catarina.

Together, Tecnova 1 and 2 benefited 80 projects from companies based in Santa Catarina. For the third edition, the number of selected proposals also increased, reaching 60. Another novelty of the program in 2024 is that in addition to the main economic subsidy amount, each company will be able to choose to receive resources of up to R$75 thousand to invest in acceleration and up to R$27 thousand to be used in internationalization projects.

Projects submitted for the Tecnova 3 Program selection process must request amounts of at least R$477 thousand and a maximum of R$702 thousand – these amounts include acceleration and internationalization resources. The benefited companies will provide a minimum percentage of compensation, according to their gross operating revenue in 2023.
