The Creative Space of the Hospital de Base do Distrito Federal (HBDF) hosted this Friday (26) the closing of the April campaign for Patient Safety. From 9am to 12pm, a series of dynamics focused on teamwork moved the space, while from 1pm to 4pm, each sector had the opportunity to send three employees per hour for specific training.

Promoted by the Institute of Strategic Health Management of the Federal District (IgesDF), this year’s campaign revisited the importance of effective and safe communication between employees and users of health units. Participants were able to enjoy fun activities, such as memory games, guessing and puzzles, all related to the topic of patient safety.

The head of the HBDF Quality and Patient Safety Center, Viviane Almeida, highlighted the relevance of efforts aimed at improving communication between health professionals.

“In a healthcare environment, communication is the foundation that supports patient safety. During our campaign, we focused our efforts on improving interaction between healthcare professionals, highlighting the importance of adequate recording in the electronic medical record, multidisciplinary communication and smooth transition during shift changes. It is essential that patients feel empowered to clarify all doubts related to their care. Only in this way can we guarantee a safe and effective treatment journey”, says Viviane.
