The Conjunctural Information released this Thursday (25/04) by Emater/RS-Ascar, linked to the State Secretariat for Rural Development (SDR), revealed the situation of herds in several administrative regions.

In Bagé, butchering is only being carried out on some properties with animals suitable for meat. In São Gabriel, producers reported that animals suffered stress due to heavy rains for four consecutive days.

In the Pelotas region, the reproduction process is coming to an end in many establishments, and the majority of dams are pregnant. Some properties are preparing for pre-calving squirrel.

In Porto Alegre, the animals continue to be in good health and nutritional status. As for marketing, the sale of discarded females and lambs that were not sold during the summer persists.

In the Santa Maria region, the herd maintains good nutritional and health status, with regular control of worms. In Cacequi, breeders have carried out andrological examinations and aptitude tests, in addition to a careful selection of matrices for reproduction.

In the Santa Rosa region, despite the presence of sun, there was no improvement in soil conditions, with hoof problems persisting in the herds. In Soledade, in Pantano Grande, the animals have good nutritional conditions, including those destined for slaughter.

As for marketing, the weekly survey carried out by Emater/RS-Ascar in the State revealed that the average price of lamb increased by 0.66%, going from R$7.54 to R$7.59/kg live.
