The management of the Bahia Road Workers Union informed, this Wednesday (24), that part of the regular collective fleet of the concessionaire Ótima Transporte (OT) will leave the garage with delays of up to 4 hours on Thursday morning (25) . The reason is a workers’ assembly, which will be held this morning in Salvador.

According to the union, the purpose of the meeting is to debate the concessionaire’s continued non-compliance with the Collective Labor Agreement (CCT).

OT is part of the Integra system and has green buses that serve several neighborhoods in the capital of Bahia, such as Pituba, Cajazeiras, Cabula and Itapuã.

Because of the assembly, the Mobility Secretariat (Semob) informed that is putting together a contingency plan to minimize the impacts of the delay at the exit of the garages.

According to the union, situations of moral harassment and the company’s failure to comply with the CCT have left workers in poor conditions within the company. The board will meet during the early hours of Thursday to define the affected garages and the closing time for the meeting.

In a note, Semob highlighted that “this type of strike only causes inconvenience to users who need public transport, and hopes for a conciliation between business owners and bus workers to avoid new episodes”.

With the change in bus departure times, part of the urban system’s regular fleet will be compromised, resulting in bus delays on some lines in the city’s central axis.
