Manaus will have a joint effort to deliver National Identity Cards (CIN), on Saturday (27). The action takes place at all Citizen Emergency Service (PAC) posts in the capital.

According to the State Secretariat of Public Security of Amazonas (SSP-AM), in total, 17,441 documents issued by the Amazonas are accumulated at PAC posts.

According to the director of the Aderson Conceição de Melo Identification Institute (IIACM), expert Mahatma Porto, the joint effort is to give an option to those who requested the document, but, due to some difficulty in travel or time during the week, have not yet went to withdraw the wallet.

“This action is part of the celebrations of one year of implementation of CIN in Amazonas. Once again, together with the State Secretariat for Justice, Human Rights and Citizenship, we will make the service available as an additional option for citizens to access their documents”, stated the director.

Citizens who have already made their appointment and want to confirm that the CIN is ready must access the link where they made the appointment and click on the ‘Follow Service’ tab. The applicant can make the query using the Individual Taxpayer Registry (CPF) number or the service protocol number.

According to the director of IIACM, Mahatma Porto, citizens who confirm that the CIN is ready and available for delivery must go to the PAC where they were served to collect the document. In the case of children and adolescents, parents or legal guardians must make the withdrawal.

Mahatma explained that if the owner of the document cannot appear to collect it, he can appoint someone responsible. “In these cases, the person can go and get the document from a family member, but they will have to have a power of attorney registered with a notary on hand, otherwise the document cannot be released,” he said.
