Megalopolis, the new film Francis Ford Coppola (trilogy The Godfather) received its first teaser trailer this Saturday, May 4th. The date marks what would have been the anniversary of Eleanor Coppolafilm director and wife of the filmmaker who passed away in April.
“Megalopolis has always been a film dedicated to my dear wife Eleanor. I really hoped to celebrate her birthday together this May 4th. But unfortunately that didn’t happen, so allow me to share with everyone a gift in her name,” he said.
The teaser appears to show the character of Adam Driver pausing time. Check it out above.
The cast has Adam Driver (Ferrari), Nathalie Emmanuel (game of Thrones), Dustin Hoffman (Rain Man), Shia Labeouf (Transformers), Aubrey Plaza (Someone let me know), Laurence Fishburne (John Wick 3: Parabellum), Jon Voight (Ray Donovan) It is Forest Whitaker (Godfather of Harlem).
Megalopolis There is still no confirmed release date on the commercial circuit. The film will be shown in competition at Cannes Festival 2024, in May, that the Omelet will cover on site – keep an eye on the website.
