Eight months after the car accident on the edge of Barra da Tijuca, in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, actor Kayky Brito stopped following Bruno de Luca. The unfollow did not go unnoticed by internet users and generated several speculations. However, the two did not take a position on what happened.
Bruno was with Kayky in the early hours of September 2nd. Upon seeing the scene of the accident, the presenter put his hands on his head, as if he was scared, but left the scene shortly afterwards.
The presenter even traveled to São Paulo the following day, to attend a music festival. To the police, de Luca reported that he did not remember any event in the morning of the accident — something that, according to psychiatrist and cognitive behavioral psychotherapist, Rodrigo Barreto Huguet, it is unusual, but not impossible.
The presenter also stated not knowing that his friend had been the victim of the run-over. The police investigation investigating the actor’s run over was closed at the beginning of this month, clearing the actor. app driver Diones da Silva and defining Dand Luca will not respond for failure to provide assistance.
Kayky’s health status
Kayky updated his health status this Monday (30). “I’m fine, thank God, I’m recovering, physically and mentally. For example, now I’m in the act of cycling, I’m cycling, but I stopped to talk to you, I owe a lot of my life to you”, he said on social media.
“I have two huge screws in my hip, but they don’t hurt. What hurts is when I put my hand on the handlebars, because of the scars, I think I got 50 stitches […] I’m slowly recovering, I’m coming back, cycling is something I really enjoy and I feel really good. God is good all the time! I hope all is well with you wherever you are! I love you”, added Kayky.
Remember the accident
Kayky Brito was run over while crossing Avenida Lúcio Costa, in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro, at around 1am on September 2nd. He had gone to his car to get some belongings and, when he went back to the kiosk, he was hit by a Fiat Argo car. The vehicle tried to avoid it, but was unable to do so. Security camera footage captured the exact moment of the accident.
Kayky was rescued and initially taken to the Miguel Couto Municipal Hospital, in Leblon. However, at the family’s request, the actor was transferred to Copa D’Or Hospital. He suffered head trauma, multiple fractures to his body and underwent surgery. O actor was taken out of sedation and had been breathing without the help of devices since the 13th of that month. On the 22nd, he was discharged from the ICU and had been showing progressive improvement. On the 29th, he was medically discharged.
