A Rio City Hallthis Wednesday (24/4), two new Technological Educational Gymnasiums in the South Zone. The units are located in Rocinha and in Vidigal, and combine academic tradition with technological innovation. Both GETs are for elementary school students.
At RocinhaO GET Luiz Paulo Horta serves 218 students, divided into seven classes of Elementary School I. GET Almirante Tamandaréat the Vidigalalso has seven classes, with 314 students from Elementary School Ilearning in the most innovative education system in the country.
GETs are intended to address STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics)which aims to enhance the development of new skills and abilities by offering students the possibility of carrying out projects in an interdisciplinary way beyond the textbook.
The schools have laboratories equipped with advanced technology and dynamic educational programs, with programming and robotics classes. Everything to prepare young people for the challenges of the modern job market, training a new generation of leaders and creative thinkers.
