MS court maintains arrest of woman who involved even a minor daughter in trafficking

Justice in Sidrolândia, 65 km from Campo Grande, converted into preventive the arrest in the act of a woman, 35, accused of leading a well-known tobacco joint in the city. At the time of the arrest, the woman’s 11-year-old daughter tried to help her mother when she saw the police car arriving at the scene.

During the custody hearing, which took place late yesterday afternoon (23), the court accepted the representation of the police officers, who presented evidence of the need to keep the accused in custody. The drug dealer already has previous convictions for similar crimes.

The police operation that led to the woman’s arrest occurred after agents from the Sidrolândia Police Station observed movement around the residence. One detail that caught attention was the reaction of the accused’s daughter, who tried to flee when she saw the vehicle.

Inside the house, 13.92 g of cocaine base paste were found hidden in plastic baby diapers, and an amount of R$1,325.00 in cash. The scene included a user who was painting the gate in exchange for drugs, who confirmed to the police that the minor was helping her mother with drug trafficking at the time of the police approach.

The woman will be detained preventively, while her three children, including the 11-year-old girl, will be placed under provisional guardianship, with the necessary monitoring by the Guardianship Council, until a final decision is taken by the responsible judge.
