The singer arrived in Rio on Monday (29) and stayed in the Marvelous City for almost a week. Since her arrival, the artist was welcomed by a legion of fans in front of the hotel, including the crowd that filled the Copacabana sands for the closing show of the Celebration Tour.
Madonna should take advantage of the end of the tour to rest. The artist, who last year faced health problems, which resulted in the postponement of the Celebration Tour, must return to the United States, where she lives and has not confirmed her destination after her visit to Brazil.
Fans at the hotel door
The uproar caused by Madonna lasted from her arrival to her departure from Rio. Dozens of fans were still in front of the Copacabana Palace to say goodbye to the singer and expressed surprise when she waved and sent kisses.
“I’m very emotional about this farewell. I’ve been a big fan since she released “La Isla Bonita, in 1987”, said Fábio Bettus, 47, merchant and teacher, who came from Botucatu (SP). “The show was impeccable, Madonna’s experience, care and professionalism, with her every movement and what was shown on the screen. That’s why she rehearses so much.”
Fábio said that the show in Copacabana was Madonna’s fifth that he had attended. Therefore, he highlighted, he was surprised by the friendliness, because, he highlighted, the queen of pop is “unfriendly”.
