A 42-year-old psychologist was found dead inside the house where she lived and where she also provided services in Assu, in the west of Rio Grande do Norte. The case happened on Tuesday night (23).
According to the Civil Police, the body was found around 6 pm, in a room, by a professional employee.
The victim was identified as Fabiana Maia Veras. According to the police, the body was gagged, tied up and had marks of stab wounds.
Witnesses informed the police that a patient was waiting for the psychologist in the office and, upon noticing the professional’s absence, called her employee.
Police are investigating the case as a homicide and believe the crime occurred between 4pm and 6pm.
Security camera images were collected by investigators and, through them, the police identified that a suspect arrived at the property at around 4:30 pm, hooded, wearing a mask and gloves. The images would still show the woman talking to the suspect in the property.
According to the police, the professional did not have an appointment scheduled at the time the man arrived.
