The Regional Electoral Court of Rio de Janeiro (TRE-RJ) decided to extend, by two hours, the opening hours at the registry offices in the electoral zones and at the state’s voter service centers, starting this Wednesday (24). The measure is preventive and is due to the increase in demand for voters that always occurs in the weeks preceding the closing of voter registration.ebc.gif?id=1591650&o=node

The closing deadline for the various electoral services, before the 2024 municipal elections, such as registration of biometric data, issuance of the first copy of the voter registration card, change of electoral address, transfer of polling place and registration regularization, ends on 8 May, that is, in 15 days.

From April 24th to May 8th, therefore, voter service hours will be from 11am to 7pm, on weekdays. There will also be service on May 1st (Labor Day holiday) and Saturday (4th), from 12pm to 5pm. The same opening hours will be applied on municipal holidays in the cities of Mendes and Miracema (3rd) and Rio Bonito (7th).

Service is based on arrival time and there is no need to schedule an appointment. Anyone who already has their biometrics registered with the Electoral Court can request the services online, through site from TRE-RJ.]
