The fire involving an unidentified cargo vehicle occurred this morning on MT-344, close to the bridge on the Parnaíba River, in the municipality of Dom Aquino (145 kilometers from Cuiabá). There was only material damage, as determined by the Fire Department.
This Tuesday morning, a trailer was set on fire on the MT-344, close to the Paranaíba River bridge, in the municipality of Dom Aquino. According to information from the Fire Department, only material damage was recorded.
According to the incident report, the fire was about 15 km from the city. Upon arrival, the soldiers found the mechanical horse unhitched from the trailer loaded with bales of cotton, both on the side of the road.
A flame-fighting procedure was carried out with an Auto Pump Tank truck, aiming to reduce damage to the trailer and driver’s cabin, which had already been engulfed in flames. A loader also provided support in isolating the load.
City hall teams were ready to clean the road and normalize traffic. The Federal Highway Police (PRF) and the highway concessionaire also provided operational assistance. The cause of the fire is still to be determined.
