By early this Saturday afternoon (05/04), the State Department of Health (SES) had already received the registration of seven thousand health professionals to form a pool of volunteers who could be invited to help municipalities in Rio Grande do Sul affected by climate events. and intense rains. The collaboration of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, speech therapists, among others, will take place in hospitals, emergency care units and other health services.

Professionals who wish to work on a voluntary basis must complete registration on the SES website at saude.rs.gov.br/cadastro-de-profissionais. By registering, the professional authorizes their data to be made available by the state secretariat to municipal administrations and health institutions if there is a need to replace or expand the workforce. There is still no assessment of this demand, which should be organized in the coming days.

Numbers

In the last update of the panel that accompanies registrations (available for consultation at ti.saude.rs.gov.br/profissionais/panel), 727 doctors, 1,248 nurses, 1,311 nursing technicians, 1,243 psychologists and 492 physiotherapists were already registered.

On average, there are 10 registrations per minute made on the website. Among the cities where professionals reside, the Capital is currently the one with the highest number of registrants (2,387), followed by Santa Maria and Caxias, with 356 and 350 registered respectively. From Rio Grande do Sul, registrations of people from 260 municipalities have so far been received.

Until now, professionals residing in all states of the country have registered, despite the adverse travel conditions to RS. There are 946 volunteers registered so far who live outside the State, including 244 from São Paulo, 164 from Santa Catarina and 103 from Paraná.

Register

Registration is intended for those professionals with available working hours and interested in working to help municipalities. Registration does not guarantee the professional’s appointment, nor does it create an employment relationship with the State of Rio Grande do Sul.
