The delegate responsible for the case, Evaldo Gomes, informed that Daniel has two outstanding arrest warrants. One refers to the break-in of boxes in Miranorte, on March 18, 2020, and another is from May 23 of the same year in Pedro Afonso, where the gang allegedly stole more than R$493.2 thousand.

According to the delegate, the three suspects are from the city of Novo Oriente (CE). They would be responsible for several thefts using the same modus operandi in several states across the country such as São Paulo, Mato Grosso, Maranhão, Pará and other states.

During the investigations, the court also ordered the blocking of R$1.8 million from the bank accounts of those involved, in addition to the seizure of several objects acquired with the proceeds of the crime.

According to the investigation, the gang focuses on bank branches in inland cities, mostly from Banco Bradesco.

Criminals carry out prior surveys of agencies’ routines to identify vulnerabilities in each location. Once this is done, they stay in neighboring cities, so as not to raise suspicion in the city targeted by the criminal action.

One day before the thefts, the gang causes some type of breakdown in the self-service terminals using devices, and in this way they obtain the password to open the ATMs. The next morning, the criminals enter the captured password and steal the valuables contained in the cash registers.

Once the theft was complete, the trio returned to Novo Oriente, the city of origin of the three.

According to the Civil Police, anyone who has information about Daniel’s whereabouts can contact the Specialized Division for the Repression of Organized Crime (DEIC – Palmas), via telephone and WhatsApp (63) 8131-0486 or (63) 3218 -6988. According to the police, anonymity is guaranteed.
