A three-year-old child was run over by a 15-year-old teenager, who was riding a motorcycle in Santa Rita de Cássia, in western Bahia. The boy was walking on the sidewalk with his parents, when he got away from his guardians, ran out and tried to cross the street alone.

As the child crossed the avenue, the teenager passed by on his motorcycle. The boy had bruises on his head and left arm. He was taken to a city health unit and is doing well.

According to the PM, the teenager tried to flee the scene after the accident, but was stopped by witnesses. As a teenager is under 18 years old, they cannot issue a National Driving License (CNH) or drive any vehicle.

Although the victim’s parents did not file a complaint with the police station, the motorcycle driven by the teenager was seized.
