‘I was in shock, I couldn’t believe it had happened’, says wife of player run over after argument in Greater SP | Mogi das Cruzes and Suzano

In an interview with g1, Fabiene, 25 years old, said she witnessed the entire situation. She was with her husband and was trying to calm down the argument. “I kept holding him until the moment he went to the car. He is very strong. I didn’t hold him tight enough. At one point he managed to let go and went”, she reported.

In the video, it is possible to see the moment in which the 28-year-old player goes towards the suspect’s car, who maneuvers the vehicle and accelerates towards the athlete, who is thrown. (watch below).

Floodplain player is run over in Arujá

In a post on social media, Fabiene said that the player’s health condition is serious and delicate (see below). “He had a broken rib that punctured his lung, he has serious injuries to his head, head trauma and bleeding in the brain. Doctors think he may have an injury to his abdomen as well, they are carrying out tests to check,” he explained.

“Today, what I’m most afraid of is. [Medo] Of losing him, of him no longer being the same… But I have faith. I believe that God is in front of everything. He is a God of miracles and will perform a miracle in Caique’s life.”

Caique is a player for the Real Sociedade de Arujá floodplain team. Furthermore, the athlete has spent time on professional teams, such as Ponte Preta, from Campinas, and Atlético Monte Azul, from the interior of São Paulo.

The love for football started from a very early age. “Caique started playing when he was around 5 years old, because his father also played – in the floodplain – and he always loved football. It was a family thing. His father’s nickname is ‘Coca’ and then the Caique’s nickname became ‘Coquinha’, that’s how he is known”, said Fabiene.

“Soon you’ll be with us on the field, doing what you love most, celebrating your goal” and “I have a lot of faith that my friend will turn things around and get out of this, let’s keep praying” are some of the comments made on social media.

She and her husband have been married for four years, but have been in a relationship for ten.

“Caique is incredible, super attentive. He takes care of me like no one ever has. He was my first love, my first boyfriend,” he said.

According to delegate Jaime Pimentel, from the Arujá police station, the player Caíque Andrade was in a snack bar located on Estrada Santa Isabel, when argued with an acquaintance because one ignored the other’s greeting.

The disagreement continued outside the establishment and the security camera captured the moment when the perpetrator of the crime passed by in a car, turned around and threw the car at Caíque. The victim, then, is thrown.

Also according to the delegate, the Military Police were called to respond to the incident and when they arrived at the address they found Caíque already in serious condition. The police called the Mobile Urgency and Emergency Service (Samu) and the victim was taken to Hospital Luzia de Pinho Mello, in Mogi das Cruzes.

Pimentel revealed that Caíque is intubated, having suffered head trauma, lung perforation due to rib fractures, internal bleeding and is undergoing surgical procedures.

The suspect reportedly fled the scene. The case is being treated as an attempted double homicide for futile reasons and for a resource that made it difficult for the victim to defend himself. According to the delegate, the suspect is a businessman and has a history of embezzlement. The car used was in the name of another woman, with whom the Police were unable to contact.

This Monday (2), the arrest of the author and the search and seizure of the vehicle used in the collision were requested, but the warrant has not yet been released.

“The Civil Police are investigating an attempted murder against a 28-year-old man, which occurred in the early hours of this Sunday (31), on Estrada de Santa Isabel, in Arujá.

Military police officers were called to respond to the incident and, at the scene, they discovered that the victim was arguing with someone he knew, at which point he was run over by him.

The suspect fled and the man was taken to Hospital Luzia Pinho de Melo in Mogi das Cruzes in serious condition. The case was registered as an attempted homicide at the Arujá Police Station.”
