Social Assistance from SC meets in Blumenau to discuss benefits of the Free University

This past Tuesday, the 2nd, another edition of the Santa Catarina Melhor Free University Circuit took place in Blumenau. The State Secretariat for Social Assistance brought together municipal secretaries, technicians and guardianship counselors to present the benefits that the program and the partnership with the Acafe System will bring to the social area.

Representatives from 14 municipalities from the Association of Municipalities of the European Valley attended the meeting, in addition to secretary Maria Helena Zimmermann, who announced a partnership between the Acafe System and the Secretariat of Social Assistance in Santa Catarina.

“We want Social Assistance here in Santa Catarina to experience a new moment of greater recognition and appreciation and that is why we are going to intensify training with this partnership with the Acafe System”, he explains.

The implementation of regional Social Assistance centers within universities, at no cost to State government structures, is one of the possibilities for launching the Free University Circuit for Social Assistance together with the Acafe System.

The universities will have professionals and interns from the program. Fellows will be available to society to provide services, with the goal of tripling the contribution of community higher education institutions to all regions of the state.
