The Sergipe Public Security Secretariat (SSP/SE) is carrying out searches to locate two men suspected of kidnapping and stealing a woman’s car. The police action takes place in the municipality of Rosário do Catete by teams from the Civil and Military Police and the Air Tactical Group (GTA). The case occurred in the city of Arapiraca, in Alagoas, this Tuesday, 02.
According to SSP/SE, initial information indicates that the men kidnapped the victim in Arapiraca early this afternoon. Arriving in the city of Junqueiro, also in Alagoas, the suspects released the woman, taking her car and other belongings. After the robbery, the two went to Sergipe.
Given the situation, the Sergipe forces were alerted and the Civil and Military Police units, located in locations close to BR-101, and the Federal Highway Police (PRF), were on standby to spot the vehicle, a Hilux model pickup truck, in the height of the municipality of Rosário do Catete.
Faced with the police presence, the suspects entered a road close to BR-101, abandoning the stolen car in a sugarcane field and fleeing through the vegetation. Immediately, searches in the area were initiated by land and the GTA was called.
At the moment, civil and military police, in addition to the GTA, are in the area where the car was left. Teams are carrying out searches in an attempt to locate and arrest the suspects.
