The Civil Police, through the Homicide and Personal Protection Division of the Tangará da Serra Police Station, launched operation Status Quo this Wednesday morning (03.04), to comply with court orders, including arrest and search warrants and seizure, with a focus on combating crimes of torture and homicide committed by members of criminal factions operating in the city.

The operation is part of the work of Operation Erga Omnes, launched within the planning of the General Directorate of the Civil Police to combat the activities of criminal organizations throughout the state of Mato Grosso.

At this stage of the operation, six court orders are executed, three of which are search and seizure warrants and three of preventive detention, against members of a criminal faction suspected of participating in a triple attempted murder, which took place in the Boche neighborhood.

According to the delegate responsible for the operation, Igor Sasaki, the motivation for the crime was a territorial dispute between criminal factions. “Based on the investigations, it was possible to identify those involved in the crime and launch the operation whose main objective is to combat crimes motivated by disputes between criminal factions in the city”, said the delegate.

The operation was named status quo, which means resumption of social tranquility, “in the state in which things were before the war”.
