The State Department of Health released this Tuesday (2), the new Covid-19 Epidemiological Bulletin in Mato Grosso do Sul, which recorded one new death and 201 new cases of the disease. In total, MS already records 7,905 confirmed cases.
The most recent victim is an elderly woman, aged 88, who lived in Aparecida do Toboado. According to the data, she had a history of diabetes and hypertension.
According to the bulletin, the municipality of Iguatemi was the one with the most records in the last week, totaling 22 new cases during the period. Next comes Aral Moreira (14); Miranda (12); and Campo Grande, which, in 4th position, had 11 new cases of the disease.
Despite the numbers mentioned, the State showed a drop in records in relation to the last four epidemiological weeks of 2024, which had two of them recording more than a thousand cases per week.
According to data from the secretariat, the Ômicron variant dominates the majority of Mato Grosso do Sul, but there is still the presence of the Delta and Gama variants in the State.
