In March, issuance and renewal of the Primary Producer Card grew 17.5% in Amazonas

The regularization of rural producers in Amazonas ended the first quarter of this year on a high note. In March, the Institute for Sustainable Agricultural and Forestry Development of the State of Amazonas (Idam) worked on issuing and renewing 1,861 Primary Producer Cards (CPP). The quantity is 17.5% higher than that recorded in the previous month, when the number of documents issued and renewed was 1,583 units.

In the March ranking in the issuance and renewal of documents are the municipalities of Rio Preto da Eva, with 209 registered CPP’s, followed by Manaus (103), Iranduba (97), Presidente Figueiredo (88) and São Gabriel da Cachoeira (68).

According to Idam’s CEO, Vanderlei Alvino, the monthly growth is the result of regularization actions carried out by Local Units (UnLoc’s) and outposts of the institute present in the 62 municipalities of Amazonas.

“We know the importance of rural producers. In this way, in addition to acting regularly, they also have guaranteed access to public policies, such as the Food Acquisition Program (PAA), in addition to access to rural credit from the Amazonas Development Agency (Afeam), for example,” says the CEO.

Alvino also emphasizes that the service is available, free of charge, at the institute’s 75 UnLoc’s and outposts, which also carry out joint efforts and itinerant actions in addition to the municipal headquarters. “The intention is to also take the service to the most distant communities and guarantee everyone access to documentation”, he emphasizes.

Accumulated for the quarter

In the first quarter of this year, the number of Primary Producer Cards (CPP) issued and renewed in Amazonas surpassed the mark of 6 thousand documents, according to the Institute for Sustainable Agricultural and Forestry Development of the State of Amazonas (Idam). In total, between January and March, 6,127 CPPs were recorded.

In the first three months, Rio Preto da Eva was the municipality that carried out the most renewals and issues in the CPP, a total of 420, followed, again, by Manacapuru with 409 and Presidente Figueiredo with 387.
