Tocantins News – The superintendent of the National Department of Transport Infrastructure (DNIT-TO), Renan Bezerra de Melo Pereira, stated that the BR-010 engineering project between Aparecida do Rio Negro and Goiatins should be tendered between 60 and 90 days.

Renan de Melo also stated that the winning company will have up to two years to complete the project. According to him, before bidding for the study, preparatory acts for contracting the project must be drawn up, such as the Terms of Reference and other procedures.

The superintendent also said that the 180 km stretch of BR-010, connecting the states of Tocantins and Goiás, which already has a project drawn up, is ready to be tendered for the construction of the work, despite the population’s desire to change the route of the road. .

The information was passed on in response to the Pro-BR-010 Movement, at the meeting held this Monday, April 1st.

Federalization

DNIT recently took over the section of TO-020, between Palmas and Aparecida do Rio Negro, federalizing the state highway in this extension, which now belongs to the BR-010 route and will be taken care of by the federal agency.

Regarding the federalization of TO-050, from Palmas/Porto Nacional to Silvanópolis, the superintendent stated that it depends solely on the state government to complete the recovery of the entire extension, in accordance with the agreement between DNIT and the Tocantinense Transport and Works Agency (Ageto).

Regarding a promise by DNIT, made years ago, to complete the bridge over the Rio Perdida, in the municipality of Rio Sono, before the return of BR work in the region, the Movement’s expectations were frustrated, as it was said at the meeting that its construction is linked to the return of the highway work.

The coordinator of the Pro-BR-010 Movement, Elpídio Lopes, highlighted that the organization hoped that at least the bridge would be built soon, as it is essential for the fluidity of transport and production in the region.

Maintenance

One of the constant demands of Pró-BR-010, mayors and producers, is the maintenance of the gravel route of the federal highway. In this regard, Renan de Melo assured that there is already planning for the conservation of the aforementioned route, but it can only come into action after the rains end. “At the moment the services cannot be carried out, as it would be a waste of money”he explained, referring to the rainy season, which damages the work carried out.

The superintendent also guaranteed the cutting of Ladeira do Bigode, in Rio Sono, with a view to improving access to the site. He also guaranteed to study the possibility of readjusting the interchange that gives access to the urban perimeter of Rio Sono, with the aim of avoiding accidents, many of which are fatal.

According to Renan, an assessment will still be made of the structure of the bridge in the village of Alto Lindo in Goiatins, which, as he was informed, has its base damaged, in addition to being very narrow, only allowing one vehicle at a time.
