Cooperative financial institution is present in more than 50% of the Santa Catarina territory
Sicredi, the first cooperative financial institution in Brazil, with more than 540 thousand members in Santa Catarina, plans to expand its physical presence in the state in 2024. According to the institution’s expectations, around 30 new branches should be opened by the end of the year, totaling more than 240 points. In addition to the physical network, Sicredi also plans to strengthen its digital operations throughout this year.
In relation to 2023, the institution reached the end of the year with 214 branches in 154 cities in Santa Catarina, which represents an increase of more than 10% compared to the previous year and a coverage of more than 50% of the state. “As we value proximity to members in the regions where we are present, the possibility of increasing our physical presence demonstrates Sicredi’s genuine interest in local development and the opportunity to offer financial solutions aligned to the different realities in the countryside and in cities”, he comments. the president of Central Sicredi Sul/Southeast, Márcio Port.
At a national level, Sicredi registered, in 2023, an increase in the number of service points, going from more than 2,400, at the end of 2022, to more than 2,600. Another positive indicator was the increase in the institution’s presence among Brazilian municipalities, increasing from more than 1,700 to 1,900.
