The Interior Area Policing Command 6 (CPAI-6), which correspond to the areas covered by the 4th BPM in Balsas, 46th BPM in São Raimundo das Mangabeiras and 35th BPM in São João dos Patos, released statistical results on the occurrences of Violent Crimes Lethal and Intentional – CVLI, which correspond to the crimes of homicides, feminicides and robberies, with a reduction of 50% in March 2024, compared to the same period in 2023.

In addition to the drop in crimes, in the same period the PM reached the mark of 24 weapons seized, 10 drug suspects arrested and approximately 1.5 kg of narcotics seized, with the recovery of 18 stolen or stolen vehicles.

The commander of CPAI-6, Lieutenant Colonel, Gilberto Brito, congratulated the battalion commanders together with their troops, who work day in and day out, with great effort and commitment to reduce crime and provide greater security for the entire society in the south of Maranhão and which This reduction is very significant for public security forces, because these are the crimes that most affect society.

The goal of the Military Police is that the reduction in CVLI numbers is smaller every day and that the area’s guidelines are aligned with the general command of the PM in Maranhão in maintaining operations and approaches to the region, reducing crime leaving, promoting greater social peace and allow people to come and go more peacefully and safely in the region.
