Goyazes Program is open for registration

The Department of Culture of Goiás (Secult) opened, this Tuesday (02/03), registrations for the State Culture Incentive Program – Goyazes 2024. Cultural proposals must be registered via Mapa Goiano. The deadline ends at 11:59 pm on April 30th.

After the registration phase, proposals are evaluated by the State Council of Culture and approved by the department. The Goyazes Program remains at the same amount of R$40 million, but, at the request of the cultural sector, part of this resource has already been raised with projects approved in 2023.

This flexibility in the deadline was guaranteed by Ordinance No. 310, of October 2023. The list of funding can be consulted on the Secult website.

Goyazes Program

Another important deadline for proponents of projects raised in 2023 and 2024 is accountability. It must be done on the Mapa Goiano platform, within 60 days of executing the project. The lack of documentation may ultimately result in the resources being returned to the public coffers.

The Goyazes Program is an initiative of the Government of Goiás, operated by Secult, which consists of financing cultural projects by private companies in exchange for granting the ICMS tax benefit. The rebate can be up to 100% of the total value of the project.

The objective of the initiative is to preserve and disseminate the state’s cultural, historical and artistic heritage, in addition to encouraging and supporting cultural and artistic production relevant to Goiás, democratizing access to culture and the full exercise of cultural rights.
