Held by the South American Football Confederation (Commebol), the Copa Sudamericana will be played by 32 teams in its first phase, which are divided into eight groups of four teams each. Athletico Paranaense, Bragantino, Corinthians, Cruzeiro, Cuiabá, Fortaleza and Internacional are Brazil’s representatives at this stage of the competition.
The first place in each group qualifies for the round of 16. The competition will also have an extra playoff phase, played between the second placed teams in each group and the third placed teams in the Copa Libertadores da América groups.
For Cuiabá, the next duels in this group stage will take place on April 11th and 23rd, and on May 8th, 15th and 29th. Dourado is part of Group G, and faces, in addition to Lanús, Metropolitanos, from Venezuela, and Deportivo Garcilaso, from Peru, in round-trip matches.
Ticket sales for this Wednesday’s game (03.04) are being made through the Facepass app and website, a platform that performs facial recognition for access to the stadium. The North Superior sector is intended for Argentine fans.
