The journalist Christiane Pelajo was announced this Tuesday (02) as the first talent hired by the new journalistic channel CNBC Brazil. According to the CNBC Times Brasil group, led by Douglas Tavolaro, She will anchor one of the network’s main prime-time news programs, which will be present on all platforms. Pelajo worked at Globo for 26 years and was one of the journalists who founded GloboNews in 1996.

For Douglas Tavolaro, founder and CEO of CNBC in Brazil, Christiane Pelajo confers a significant innovative impact that the new journalism broadcaster has had across the country since the announcement of its launch at the beginning of the previous month.

“Our first video name could not be other than a woman who so well represents the strength, talent and intelligence of Brazilian journalism. His knowledge of the business world, added to the news structure of CNBC Times Brasil, will contribute to the quality of information in the country and present an innovative television journalism project.”

Érica Reis was appointed as Head of Market Intelligence, journalist Rafael Gomide took over as Director of Operations (COO), and lawyers Marco Aurélio Cordeiro and Jaques Tiago Colares occupied, respectively, the positions of Vice-President of Legal and International Relations and Head of Compliance and Investor Relations.

I needed to have more time, more flexibility in my schedule, for me, it’s a delight.”
