Diego Lopes was one of the highlights of UFC 300, an event held in April, in Las Vegas (USA), but he wasn’t even able to celebrate the victory completely. Last Tuesday (30), the Nevada Athletic Commission imposed a punishment on the fighter, withholding 5% of his pursefor jumping over the Octagon fence to celebrate the knockout of Sodiq Yusuff and talking to Dana White.

According to the report made available by the MMA Junkie website, the NAC, in a monthly meeting, voted to retention of five thousand dollars (around R$25 thousand) from Diego’s salary of 100 thousand dollars (around R$520 thousand). But, luckily for the fighter, one of the commissioners present at UFC 300 reported that the league president gave him permission to jump over the Octagon fence and allegedly stated that he would pay his fine.

Tsarukyan punished

Like Diego, Arman Tsarukyan also had 20% of his scholarship withheld by the Nevada Athletic Commission. At the time, the athlete, who was making his way to the octagon to face Charles ‘Do Bronxs’, was provoked by a fan. In response, the Armenian attacked the fan, leaving him without receiving 31,600 dollars (around R$164,000) of his salary of 158,000 dollars (around R$820,000).
