Drivers should pay attention to changes in traffic on sections of Avenida Assis Chateaubriand, in Prado, in Maceió. This Tuesday (2) work began to carry out a maintenance service on the rainwater network in the region. The central median, after Rua Edgar de Góes Monteiro, will be open for motorists to access. Upon completion, work on the pipeline will begin. The intervention should last approximately 21 days.

To regulate vehicle traffic, part of the road will be closed near Rua Maranhão, for those heading towards the municipality of Marechal Deodoro.

The two lanes towards the south coast will be closed for approximately 100 meters. As a result, the lanes for the north coast will temporarily have two directions, that is, with the flow of vehicles heading to Marechal being diverted to one of the lanes heading north. Access for drivers will be through an opening in the existing median, and the return to the appropriate lane will also be in the same way.

All detour signaling will be carried out by the company responsible for the service. Two mobile panels will be positioned on the road to guide drivers traveling in both directions, and DMTT agents will monitor the activity at fixed stations and on patrol.

“It is an emergency and necessary intervention. We will provide the necessary support for traffic control and to guarantee urban mobility and, most importantly, road safety in the region”, said Wanderson Freitas, technical coordinator of Traffic at DMTT.
