Rio Grande do Norte has ten reservoirs full, with 100% of the volume complete, and four water reserves above 70%. The data is from the RN Water Management Institute (Igarn), released this Tuesday (2).

The reservoirs at 100% capacity are: Mendubim, in Assú; Campo Grande, in São Paulo do Potengi; Pataxó, in Ipanguaçu; Dourado, in Currais Novos; Riacho da Cruz II, in Riacho da Cruz; Passagem, in Rodolfo Fernandes; Beldroega, in Paraú; Malhada Vermelha, in Severiano Melo; Encanto, in Encanto and Santa Cruz do Trairi, in Santa Cruz.

The Marechal Dutra dam, known as Gargalheiras, reached 89.88% of capacity. However, in the latest update of unofficial meters, they indicate that the reservoir has already exceeded 90%.

One of the largest reserves in RN, the Umarí dam, in Upanema, in the west of Rio Grande do Norte, reached 89.18% of the total volume. The Rodeador dam, in Umarizal, reached 78.07%. In Pau dos Ferros, the city’s reservoir reached 71.3%.

Almost 70%

The Armando Ribeiro Gonçalves dam, the largest reservoir in RN, reached 65.77%, registering 1,560,922,758 m³ this Tuesday morning. In Apodi, the Santa Cruz do Apodi water reserve reached 69.32%, with the current volume of 415,733,100 m³.

In the city of Cruzeta, the reservoir reached 69.62%.
