A Honda is calling on model owners GL 1800 Goldwingmanufactured between 2019 and 2024, and CBR1000RRproduced between 2015 and 2019, to schedule a service appointment at an authorized Honda Dream dealership from May 2nd.

Both are top-of-the-line models from the manufacturer in Brazil. A 2024 0km Goldwing, for example, has current price of R$304,450. The repairs, which aim to inspect and, if necessary, correct problems with the fuel pump, will begin on May 6, 2024, the company said.

What is the defect?

In total, there are 911 units involved in the call. According to the automaker, some units of these models may have faults in the fuel pump module, causing the fuel flow to the engine to be interrupted and which may result in the vehicle suddenly shutting down during travel.

This failure, especially in high-speed traffic situations, represents a serious risk and could result in material damage, serious injuries or even fatalities to vehicle occupants and third parties, the company said in a statement.
