During State Autism Awareness Week, state deputy Marcus Marcelo (PL), author of the law that creates the date in Tocantins, cited the advances of the flag and the search to guarantee a better quality of life for these people, in a video released on the networks social events, this Tuesday, 2nd, on World Autism Awareness Day.
“Today is World Awareness Day, as a defender of the cause in Tocantins, I worked on the implementation of the Clínica Escola Mundo Autista in Araguaína and this year I requested an agreement from the State with the clinic to expand services in the city”, highlighted Marcus Marcelo.
The deputy also spoke about his work at Aleto (Legislative Assembly) to propose new inclusion guidelines for these people. “I leave my affectionate message for fathers, mothers, adults with autism and all those who live with an autistic person. We are on the way, proposing new laws and bringing the inclusion agenda here to the Legislative Assembly. It is possible to do more and guarantee a better quality of life for these people. Let’s fight for inclusion and respect together!”
In defense of the cause
State Autism Awareness Week will be celebrated annually in the first week of April. In addition to creating the week, Marcus also requested assistance for students with vision and hearing problems, to offer screening in the public school system of Tocantins and defended the creation of the Professional Support Position in schools in Tocantins, which provides courses and regulations for Inclusive Education professionals who serve students with disabilities.
