Bioparque Pantanal, the largest freshwater aquarium in the world, will be opened exclusively for autistic people this Tuesday afternoon (2). The inclusive action alludes to International Autism Awareness Day.
The aquarium will remain closed to the general public. The service will be exclusive and inclusive during the launch of an institutional program of the state government, “MS Acessível”.
In the afternoon, Bioparque Pantanal opens at 1:30 pm and continues until 5:30 pm.
Autism: how to identify
The initial suspicion of ASD is normally made in the first months of life, during consultations to monitor child development. - Repetitive or restricted behaviors: repetitive body movements (e.g., hand swinging), fixation on specific objects or patterns, resistance to changes in routine or environment;
- Sensory hypersensitivity or insensitivity to sensory stimuli: extreme sensitivity to lights, sounds or textures, or insensitivity to pain or temperatures.
