With the latest rains, at least 10 reservoirs in Rio Grande do Norte registered levels above 80%. The data is from the RN Water Management Institute (Igarn), released this Monday (1st), which shows the Gargalheiras dam, in Acari, close to the sangria and the Santa Cruz do Trairi water reserve, in Santa Cruz, with 100% capacity.

In the Seridó region, the Gargalheiras dam reached 33,697,374 m³, thus reaching 75.85% of its total capacity. In the Trairi region, the Santa Cruz do Trairi reservoir reached 100% of the total volume

Other water reserves that are above 80%: Currais, in Itaú; Encanto, in Encanto; Malhada Vermelha, in Severiano Melo; Beldroega, in Paraú; Passagem, in Rodolfo Fernandes; Riacho da Cruz II, in Riacho da Cruz; Dourado, in Currais Novos; Boqueirão Lagoon, in Touros; Pataxó, in Ipanguaçu; Campo Grande, in São Paulo do Potengi.

In total, RN’s reservoirs reached 55.38% of volume, the highest percentage in the last three years, according to the latest updates to the website.
