Sicredi, the first cooperative financial institution in Brazil, with more than 7.5 million members across the country and presence in 26 states and the Federal District, plans to expand its physical presence in Minas Gerais throughout 2024. The expectation is to open more than 70 new agencies by the end of the year, totaling more than 250 service points in the state. Furthermore, the institution also plans to strengthen its digital operations throughout this year.

In relation to 2023, Sicredi ended the year with 177 branches distributed in 156 cities in Minas Gerais, which represents an increase of more than 50% compared to the previous year. “We value proximity to members in the regions where we are present, and the possibility of expanding our physical presence demonstrates our genuine interest in local development and in offering financial solutions aligned to the different realities in the countryside and in cities”, comments the president of Central Sicredi Sul/Southeast, Márcio Port.

At a national level, Sicredi recorded, in 2023, an increase in the number of service points, going from more than 2,400 at the end of 2022 to more than 2,600. Furthermore, the presence of the institution among Brazilian municipalities also increased, going from more than 1,700 to 1,900.
