New condominium in Rio’s Port Zone will pay homage to composer and painter Heitor dos Prazeres

This Thursday (28/03), Rio’s port area receives another real estate launch as part of the Porto Maravilha project. Located in the Santo Cristo neighborhood, the development Heitor dos Prazeres – Condomínio Pierrot, Cury Construtora’s twelfth product in the region, will have 1,282 apartments in two blocks. It is one of the largest projects launched in the region, which in recent years has already exceeded 7,000 units launched.

The name of the enterprise pays homage to the composer and painter Heitor dos Prazeres (1898-1966). Some of his paintings, with a theme linked to popular music, licensed by the family, according to the construction company, will be used to compose the visual identity of the buildings.

According to Leonardo Mesquita, vice-president of Cury, the public for the projects launched by Cury in the region has come from neighborhoods such as São Cristóvão, Lapa, Catete, Glória and Copacabana, in addition to Jacarepaguá. There are also 30% of buyers from cities in the metropolitan region and 2% from São Paulo. Cury has gotten the better of other construction companies that have adopted the region, such as Emccamp.

Cury also acquired the large land of the former Promatre maternity hospital, in the port region closest to the Center. With around 3,500 m2 of land, the old hospital would be demolished to make way for another launch, however city hall sources report that the construction company had not yet obtained licensing to build in that location, as there would be some obstacle on the part of Iphan . The land is close to Valongo Wharf, which, ironically, could be maintained and maintained by nearby condominiums, instead of emitting the odor of urine and feces as is the case today. The region suffers so much from abandonment that even Tia Ciata’s house was recently invaded – twice in less than a week – as reported here.

In addition to the 12 projects by the São Paulo company, Porto Maravilha also has a condominium under construction by Emccamp – close to the Bus Station, which has already sold around 70% of the units. The construction company reported that 33% of the works have already been completed and delivery to the owners is scheduled for the second half of 2025.
