Two men are shot dead eight hours apart in Passos; PM searches for suspects
Two men aged 25 and 23 were shot dead this Wednesday (27) in the Jardim Santo Antônio and Penha II neighborhoods, in Passos (MG). According to the Military Police, suspects in both crimes are wanted. The Civil Police investigates cases that occurred within an interval of eight hours.
The first occurrence was around 11 am, on Rua Norival Serveriano da Silva, in the Jardim Santo Antônio neighborhood. A 25-year-old man was shot in the head from a 12-gauge gun.
Witnesses told the police that they saw a suspect wearing a hoodie and a cap run out of an abandoned house on the street. He would have found the victim, shot him and returned the same way.
The police checked the abandoned house and discovered access to Rua Adonira Maria de Jesus. During the search, police found the weapon used in the crime.
The victim’s body was taken to the Forensic Medical Institute (IML) in Passos. The search for the suspect continues.
The second record occurred at the beginning of the night, around 6:30 pm. According to the Military Police, a 23-year-old man was shot and died on Rua Ambrosia das Graças Cunha, in the Penha II neighborhood.
The PM received information that the suspects had passed by the location on a motorcycle and, shortly after the shots, fled.
The police continue to search, but until the last publication no one had been arrested.
