Seduc-AM extends the contract of teachers approved in the selection process until July | Amazon

The Amazonas Department of Education (Seduc) will extend, until July 31st, the contract for teachers in the current simplified selection process (PSS). Teachers approved in PSS 2024 must be called up from August 1st. The information was released this Thursday (28).

PSS 2024 foresees the hiring of an additional 3,600 teachers. Currently, according to Seduc, the Permanent Competition Commission (Copec) is working on the process of rectifying the approval of those approved in this process. The official list of those approved in PSS 2024, for approval, must be published within 90 days.

The president of the PSS 2024 commission, Marilene Remígio, emphasized that the contracts of current teachers will be extended for another 120 days. After this period, these teachers will have their contracts terminated and the new ones approved, from PSS 2024, will have to take on their duties, both in the capital and in the interior.

“Copec requested that the deadline for publishing the approval of results be extended so that it could meet the requirements set out in the notice. Now, the commission is working on correcting the list of those approved and, once completed, it will be published on the Secretariat’s official channels of Education and Copec”, he explained.
