A 39-year-old man was arrested in São Paulo, on Tuesday afternoon (26), on suspicion of having killed and set fire to the body of his own 18-year-old daughter. At the door of the Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP), Wellington da Silva Rosas was asked by the press if he killed his daughter and shook his head.
The body of Rayssa Santos da Silva Rosas was found this Tuesday (26/3), in a hole on Avenida 23 de Maio, one of the main roads in the capital of São Paulo, already charred. Shortly afterwards, police officers found that the young woman had told her mother that she was going to her father’s house, in the Bela Vista neighborhood, close to Avenida 23 de Maio.
Security camera footage indicated that the man carried the body in a cardboard box, using a moving cart. The main motivation for the crime, according to initial investigations, would have been revenge, as the suspect did not accept the end of his relationship with his ex-wife.
