With the increase in vehicle traffic on federal highways during Holy Week, the Sergipe Highway Police (PRF/SE) will reinforce policing from this Thursday, the 28th, until next Sunday, the 31st.

In Sergipe, the expectation is for an increase in the flow of vehicles and people traveling on the highways that cross the state. Because of this, there will be an increase in policing, as well as monitoring of conduct that frequently results in serious accidents, such as speeding, undue overtaking, drunk driving, not using seat belts, in addition to the absence of restraint devices, like car seats for children.

Traffic Restriction

To avoid the possibility of congestion and accidents, the PRF also informed that restrictions will be implemented regarding some categories of vehicles between specific times starting this Thursday afternoon, the 28th.

The restrictions will cover the transit of Cargo Vehicle Combinations (CVC), Vehicle Transport Combinations (CTV) and Vehicle and Palletized Cargo Transport Combinations (CTVP), even if authorized to circulate through a Special Transit Authorization ( AET) or Specific Authorization (AE). The restrictions only apply to single-lane road sections.

Guidelines

The PRF also advises drivers that before traveling, plan the trip, refuel the vehicle, check traffic and road conditions and the weather forecast, check the operation of the lighting system (headlights, taillights, brake lights, turn signals). ), in addition to checking the vehicle and driver documents.
