Shopee, a leader in e-commerce in Southeast Asia and Taiwan, announces the opening of its 11th distribution center in Brazil, the first in Rio Grande do Sul, located in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre. The new unit in Gravataí will increase the delivery capacity of products from Brazilian sellers in the South region by 60%, serving more than 600 cities in the states of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina.
Greater capillarity and faster deliveries
The Rio Grande do Sul distribution center will operate on the cross docking model, optimizing the delivery process. Goods collected through logistics partners will be reorganized and routed to last-mile hubs, reducing the distance traveled by orders and improving delivery times for consumers.
