Rio – The group Molejo participated in “Encontro com Patrícia Poeta”, on TV Globo, remotely, this Tuesday morning, and spoke about the health status of Anderson Leonardo, the band’s lead singer, hospitalized with a medical condition delicate in a hospital in Rio. Andrezinho said that his friend, undergoing treatment for cancer in the inguinal region, is very determined to survive and has been fighting for it.

“He gives us a great desire to live. His fight is with a lot of perseverance, he is constantly saying that he will be cured, that he will do everything… He wants to survive. He is giving us a lot of support too, because we are continuing to do shows. So, he watched some things, talked about… Anyway, always in a good mood, always doing funny things. He wants to fight, he really wants to live. We are together with him in this chain , together with friends and family, to make everything work out”, says the musician.

Andrezinho commented on Anderson’s current state of health. “At this moment, it is within the diagnosis given by the doctors. He had an improvement that even cheered us up too. He woke up, sang, spoke, sang, talked to people, played. Then he was sedated again, because he was very agitated like the doctors reported. Everyone (from the band) went to the room and saw him and he was… The diagnosis is in line with what the doctors said, which maybe is also a glimmer of hope, in terms of him being able to come back.”

Some members of Molejo, like Jimmy and Claumirzinho, were at the hospital to visit the singer. “On Sunday, they went to the hospital with Anderson. When Anderson woke up, they had contact. Anderson has a movement of not wanting to let anyone go, that he wants to be, that everyone who visits, stays. He wants to talk, he wants to talk, he wants to talk about music, which is his life. He wants to talk about the shows, that his business is the stage, the show, the studio. He also tells us that we can’t stop, that we have to continue, so we keep going, doing the work. We need to help him in this way too, right?”

According to the singer’s medical report, sent by the artist’s press office to DIA, this Tuesday (26), his health condition is delicate and he is not expected to be discharged from hospital. Anderson was diagnosed with cancer in the groin region in October 2022. Five months after celebrating the cure, he had to resume treatment last year. The artist, who had been discharged on the 19th, was hospitalized again in serious condition last Sunday (24).
