Brazilian drivers did not score points in the eighth stage of Formula E, held this Saturday (27), on the Principality’s traditional street circuit. Lucas di Grassi was very close to the Top 10, finishing the E-Prix in 11th. Sérgio Sette Câmara from Minas Gerais had problems on the track and ended up in 19th. The race saw a one-two finish by compatriots Mitch Evans and Nick Cassidy from Jaguar and Belgian Stoffel Vandoorne (DS Penske) in third.

In the general classification, Sérgio Sette Câmara has 11 points and Lucas di Grassi has only 1. The overall leader is German Pascal Wehrlein (TAG Heuer Porsche) with 102 points. ”It was a good race, from 17th to 11th, right on the edge of the points. A weekend in which we left without points, but with a job done, the best of Mahindra’s powertrains. We need to improve the car,” said Di Grassi.

Driver Lucas di Grassi raced at home once again. After the E-Prix in São Paulo, his hometown, Monaco is where he has lived for years. In the other Formula E races in the Principality, Di Grassi had two second places, one retirement and one 12th.

Sérgio Sette Câmara had a crash in the middle of the race and was unable to recover positions with his ERT Formula E. Monaco was not the same performance as Misano, when the Minas Gerais driver was in the Top 10 in the double round.

”The only positive point was qualifying, in free practice it wasn’t good, where I almost couldn’t walk. I left almost without reference. In the race I was seventh and I got a flat rear tire. I still got a penalty. It was a messy race, with a lot of problems with the car. I hope to have better results in Berlin”

The next two stages of Formula E 2024 will be in Berlin, Germany, on May 11th and 12th. The tenth season has a total of 16 E-Prix.
