This Wednesday, the Federal Police launched a national action to combat child sexual abuse. Called Operation Share, the offensive carried out 59 search and seizure warrants in 21 units of the federation. 18 arrests were made in the act.
In Rio Grande do Sul, ten warrants were served. The investigations took place in the cities of Novo Hamburgo (2), São Leopoldo (1), Gravataí (1), Viamão (2) and Lindolfo Color (1), Santana do Livramento (1), Canguçu (1) and Frederico Westphalen (1 ).
During the searches, still in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, five people were arrested for storing pornographic images involving children or teenagers. There were arrests in the municipalities of Gravataí, Lindolfo Collor, Novo Hamburgo, Viamão and Santana do Livramento.
The operation was the result of information passed on by the Italian and Spanish police, who detected the sharing of pedophilia materials, carried out over the internet, between Brazilian and European criminals.
In addition to RS, the procedures were also carried out in Acre (1), Alagoas (1), Amapá (1), Bahia (3), Ceará (2), Federal District (1), Espírito Santo (1), Maranhão (1 ), Minas Gerais (3), Mato Grosso (2), Pará (3), Paraíba (3), Pernambuco (2), Paraná (9), Rio Grande do Norte (1), Rio de Janeiro (3), Roraima (2), Santa Catarina (1), Sergipe (1) and São Paulo (9).
