The Government of Minas Gerais, through the State Secretariat for Planning and Management (Seplag-MG), pays, this Wednesday (27/3), another remittance of civil servants’ bonus vacation liabilities. In total, 223 employees receive the benefit, totaling around R$6.8 million in payments.
The liability has been paid since September 2021 and, to date, payments total R$1.15 billion, covering 41,420 employees. The measure refers to state employees with rights acquired until 2004, who had their bonus vacation payments stopped in 2015.
The current administration, in an effort to balance state accounts and regularize inherited debts, resumed payments in 2019 for part of the civil servants who had their retirement published throughout 2013 and 2014. In 2021, a schedule was established to pay all liabilities recorded in July of that year.
With the regularization and publication of new pensions, payments will continue monthly in 2024.
Servants retired due to disability or exempt from Withholding Income Tax (IRRF) taxation as a result of serious illness, under the terms of item XVI, art. 6th, of Federal Law 7,713, of 12/22/1998, since 2019, they have been receiving bonus holidays normally.
Judicial actions
Servants who have already retired and have legal action against the State to receive bonus vacations, if they are interested in receiving the benefit through administrative means, may contact the HR unit of their organization for action, according to information published on the Servant Portal.
As for employees who have already had their retirement published and do not have legal action related to bonus vacations, the advice is to contact HR to check the payment status.
